This summer we’re doing our very first boost challenge! But wait, what’s a boost challenge? Heck, what’s a boost? Here’s a FAQ guide to walk you through what you need to know about this chance to get in our coveted ‘featured’ category, plus make some major sales while you’re at it!
Q: What is the Summer Boost Challenge?
A: The Summer Boost Challenge is a 2 week challenge Abound is offering all its makers. We’re challenging our makers to get as many boost link purchases as possible from June 21 – July 2, 2021 ET.
Participants will be eligible to win up to 3 months of 0% commission on ALL Abound orders! Plus, the chance to get in our featured categories!
For our makers that get the top number of boost link purchases, we’ll put them in our “Featured” category for all of August. The featured category is one of our most popular categories on the site. So just like when you were brand new and in our ‘new arrivals’ category, being in our featured categories means our retailers eyeballs will be on your shop more than ever.
The grand prizes for the top 1st, 2nd, and 3rd boost link users on the site are:
- 1st place: 0% commission on ALL orders for 3 months starting on August 1st
- 2nd place: 0% commission on ALL orders for 2 months staring on August 1st
- 3rd place: 0% commission on ALL orders for 1 month starting on August 1st
Q: What is a boost link?
A: Abound boost links are one of your most powerful tools to get new retailers to your Abound page. Your brand boost link looks like this: helloabound.com/invite/brandname and whenever a retailer signs up for Abound using this link, you’ll get 0% commission on their order, and an $100 credit towards their first order from you.
So basically, it’s free money for you and the retailer. Your payout will look like a regular order, because we cover the cost! The retailer will get a completely free order if their order is under $100, and if it’s over they’ll get $100 off.
Q: Why should I participate?
A: There are lots of reasons to participate in the Summer Boost Challenge, pick and choose whichever are most compelling to you!
- Any boost orders you get will translate into real money for you, whether or not you complete the challenge!
- If you get boost link orders, you’ll be eligible for inclusion in our Featured category and will get even more attention from retailers.
- It’s a chance to bond with other makers and improve your skills as a business owner with outreach strategies. Since doing outreach isn’t fun, why not do it in a group where you’re getting daily encouragement and resources?
- If you win the whole contest, you’ll not only get SALES, you’ll get 0% commission on those sales, and more exposure on our Featured page!
Q: What if I don’t know any retailers to reach out to?
A: That’s totally fine, and most people are in the same boat! That’s why we’ve made sure to give you extensive resources about how to get started with cold outreach strategies, and why we’ll be leading daily check-ins in the maker’s group on Facebook. We’ll also be sharing strategies there so that you can build a part of your business that will last much longer than the challenge. So, make sure you’re a member of our Facebook group!
